Day in the mountains with Dad.
I moved in with my parents last winter because I was unable to care for myself. Feeling my frustration with nausea, hospital visits, and cabin fever from bed rest, my dad took me on a drive up the canyons to find fresh air and beauty. I snapped a few photos from the day.
Joe, Cari, and Lyla Christmas Card/ Family Photos
I was thrilled to take our dear friends' family pictures last fall. I felt pretty sick that day, but strangely every time during my pregnancy that I took pictures, I didn't feel sick for that hour or so until it was over. Such a relief to have a small break.
"They're kissing again??" -Lyla
This was there reaction when I announced that I was pregnant.
Love this sweet couple.
Kellen and Melissa Gender Reveal Party
One of the last shoots I did last year before getting sick was a fun one. My sister-in-law and her husband threw a party to announce the sex of their baby, who is now nine months old!
Catching up.
I have been MIA from this blog for the past year.
I guess I had a pretty good reason.
We have been pretty busy the past year, with a hyperemesis gravidarum pregnancy and then a new little one taking the spotlight.
But now he sleeps through the night and life is getting back to a new version of normal.
I have been blessed to have many photography opportunities since having Remy. Working again helps me feel validated and reminds me of the person I was before the craziness of the past year. To my wonderful clients, thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to capture your special memories.
